Faith, 5 years old
Faith’s mother was a prostitute in Mbarara who joined the Ladies of Hope and became a Christian. She died from AIDS when Faith was only 4 years old. She left three children behind, Faith, Mercy, and Benon, with the church.
Faith is good girl and intelligent, but when she first came to the Home for Hope, she would barely respond to anyone. Her head was always hung low and she wouldn’t look anyone in the eyes because she was so depressed.
Today, she is coming out of that darkness and her spirit is coming back. She loves to sing.
Her dream is to become a nurse.
